Description

This is an Art Trade from forever and a half ago, (like last Year) with :icontherushingwolf: She wanted me to draw featherwhisker and I decided that because I had recently read Blue's Prophecy that I wanted to draw Goosefeather too. Some Dialogue!:

F"Goosefeather, why don't you stop scaring the kits and come rest in your den a minute?"
G"hrmm rrmm they don't listen... but they should! the forest... Full of evil... rising! I see it... in his eyes.."
F"...Goosefeather, please. you can't keep-" *sigh* "here. Eat these. you can rest while I go get the yarrow you wanted-"
G"no!"

Featherwhisker turned and was shocked by the clarity in his mentor's eyes. He found it hard not to flinch away from Goosefeather's icy sharp gaze, focused with an energy he hadn't seen in moons.

G"I know the way the rest of the clan has lost faith in me but I will not see you scold my visions too! That kit will be the end of the clans as we know them. If you don't believe me exercise your authority as a medicine cat and see for yourself. But do not treat me like a moth-brained elder!"

Featherwhisker couldn't reply. His tounge had been caught in his throat. What if there was truth in what his mentor was saying? What could possibly justify his unexplained decent into madness? Had he really lost that much faith in him that he would refuse to see something that starclan had so plainly revealed to Goosefeather? He shuddered to think that his connection with his warrior ancestors could be dwindling away. What if he wasn't able to perform as the conduit to Starclan that his clan desperately needed? Especially in the face of whatever they had shown Goosefether...

But then his mentors eyes unfocused again, the clarity of mind lost to the madness within. Featherwhisker swallowed, and tried to assuage his growing fears. Goosefeather was growing old, and he had made mistakes before. Nothing of Tigerkit's behavior had revealed any kind of sinister disposition--he was perfectly normal. Featherwhisker told himself all of this, but couldn't remove the growing pit in his stumach.

"Eat the poppy seeds, please. For me."

Anyway. So yeah, super overdue! Sorry RushingWolf, I really have no excuse!
